Tonghe Zhang (张同和)
My name is pronounced like “Tungho Chang.” How to pronounce Zhang?
Welcome to my homepage! I am a final-year undergraduate student at Tsinghua University, majoring in Electronic Engineering.
I am passionate about developing efficient and theoretically grounded machine learning algorithms, particularly in reinforcement learning (RL) and imitation learning (IL). I also explore related fields like statistical and online learning, stochastic and distributed optimization, and applying RL/IL in robot learning tasks such as locomotion and manipulation.
During my studies, I worked with Prof. Longbo Huang at IIIS, Tsinghua University on risk-sensitive RL and with Prof. Yuejie Chi and Dr. Sudeep Salgia at ECE, Carnegie Mellon University on distributed partially observable RL. I enjoyed a rewarding summer at the embodied AI startup Noetix Robotics, training humanoid robots to run and spin like humans. I am currently working on my graduation thesis on diffusion policies under the supervision of Prof. Yu Wang.
Feel free to contact me via email at zhang-th21[at]mails[dot]tsinghua[dot]edu[dot]cn or tonghezhang01[at]gmail[dot]com.
I am seeking a PhD position for Fall 2025.
